These are stunning First Day Covers that were hand stamped on the day the beautiful 13p ‘Alice in Wonderland’ postage stamp was issued by Royal Mail in July 1979.

This set are of particular interest because of the additional ‘Cinderella’ stamps added with comical phrases.

This set was created to honour Gerald King’s adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice Through the Looking Glass, in which he gave the 1978 tale the title of ‘Alice Through the Pillar Box - A Philatelic Phantasy’.

These envelopes are all sealed, and have never been opened but if you choose to take a peek inside you will find a postcard with further illustrations.

Lovely collectible items that are a must for all Alice fans!
